other than minions and golems, has anyone run into any undead in Cantha?

however if they were undead then holy damage would be doubled, which it is not.

yeah I know, just an attempt at humor, but anyways...OK, further research leads me to the conclusion that they aren't strictly speaking undead even though they do take extra damage from *some* smite and drop bones. I think the game treats them as undead in some cases and not in others. I have done 420pts to each afflicted in a group in viz square with ray of judgement also (do spells get crit?).
I suppose it would've been better to have done this research prior to my first post too... my bad

So that leaves FoW and minions as the only sources of undead accessible to Factions only players?

He comes back to life for when you actually fight him, so in theory hes not undead, but reborn/rebirthed? not tested however.

Would be nice to have an area with high level undead. Give a place for smite monks to be wanted for once.

Dead Threshers !

Adding an undead area would be silly unless it was extremely well balanced... otherwise I can just see the spider-farmer warriors go wammo for insight and farm that too :/

But since the undead are primarily an Orrean thing... yo Anet, update/chapter based in Orr please? xD

what would be nice is a chapter that went back in time during the actual "Guild Wars".

back on topic: as far as i know, there are no undead in Factions, by definition. the afflicted are corrupted bodies of living people. Shiro'ken are different, though. they're bound souls stuck in a physical body, but not neccesarily in a living one.

so yeah, UW and FoW are the only sources of undead in Factions. not sure if that's a bad thing...
